Campus Advocate

The Campus Counselor/Advocate is responsible for providing client-centered, trauma-informed services to local college and university students who have experienced sexual assault or dating violence. This position will primarily provide direct services to students at Susquehanna University; however, other colleges/universities may request support from this position as well. The Campus Counselor/Advocate is a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse as defined by PA Child Protective Services Law. Responsibilities require the exercise of independent judgment and knowledge of overall agency activities. This position is full-time with primarily daytime and early evening hours. This position participates in on-call duties.

housing coordinator

The Housing Coordinator coordinates and oversees the implementation of services to identify safe, permanent housing options for victims of crime. The program focuses on helping victims of crime who are experiencing housing instability and/or homelessness as a result of their victimization. The program aims to increase access to and retain safe, permanent housing and then provide tailored advocacy, supportive services, and case management. This includes advocacy and contact with landlords and community and housing stakeholders. The Housing Coordinator will provide outreach, collaboration, and coordination of allowable financial assistance for victims. The Housing Coordinator is a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse as defined by PA Child Protective Services Law. Responsibilities require the exercise of independent judgment and knowledge of overall agency activities. This position is full-time with primarily daytime and early evening hours. This position participates in back-up on-call duties.

PSH Advocate

The PSH Housing Counselor/Advocate provides community-based supportive services to survivors of domestic violence who are experiencing homelessness and who have a disability. Transitions' permanent supportive housing program aims to empower program participants to achieve their self-defined goals that will support their ability to obtain and maintain housing. These include but are not limited to safety planning, an improved sense of self-worth, self-sufficiency, and permanent housing in a safe, stable environment. Significant travel throughout Union, Snyder, Northumberland, and Schuylkill counties is required. The PSH Housing Counselor/Advocate works collaboratively with all Transitions staff and must be able to contribute and work well in group settings. The PSH Housing Counselor/Advocate is a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse as defined by PA Child Protective Services Law. Responsibilities require the exercise of independent judgment and knowledge of overall agency activities. This position is full-time with primarily daytime and early evening hours. The Residential Services Coordinator provides services to primary and secondary adult, adolescent, and child victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other serious crimes. The Residential Services Coordinator supervises staff and volunteers at the Union County and Northumberland County Safe Houses as well as hotline staff and volunteers. This position provides community outreach and systems advocacy. This position ensures all compliance with funder standards related to safe house and hotline are met. The Residential Services Coordinator is a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse as defined by PA Child Protective Services Law. Responsibilities require the exercise of independent judgment and knowledge of overall agency activities. This position is full-time with primarily daytime hours. This position participates in back-up on-call duties.

northumberland county safe house counselor/advocate (1st Shift)

The Northumberland County Safe House Counselor/Advocate (1st Shift) provides direct services to primary and secondary child, adolescent, and adult victims and survivors in the safe house. This position requires providing counseling, on a one-to-one basis through group facilitation, or via the hotline, to empower individuals and to strengthen families. The Northumberland County Safe House Counselor/Advocate (1st Shift) oversees the maintenance of the safe house facility in Northumberland County. Position requires participation in the on-call schedule and requires a great deal of local travel.  Responsibilities require the exercise of independent judgment, technical knowledge of the specific area of assignment and of overall agency activities. The Northumberland County Safe House Counselor/Advocate (1st Shift) is a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse as defined by PA Child Protective Services Law. This position is full-time with primarily daytime hours but may include some evenings and weekends.

The Visitation Monitor is responsible for providing a safe, secure environment, physically and emotionally, for children by supervising visits and custody exchanges with the non-custodial parent at the Fairl Family Justice Center. The Visitation Monitor is a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse as defined by PA Child Protective Services Law. Responsibilities require the exercise of independent judgment and knowledge of overall agency activities. The position is part-time. The schedule varies and will include evening and weekend hours.
