Volunteer Opportunities Available

Direct Service Volunteers - Direct Service Volunteers provide counseling and other assistance directly to victims of crime. Direct Service Volunteers are required to complete 80 hours of mandatory training prior to working with clients.


Administrative Volunteers - Administrative volunteers assist staff with filing, making copies, preparation for training and education programs, cleaning and other office duties. Administrative Volunteers are required to complete a minimum of 10 hours of mandatory training.


Child Care Volunteers - Child care volunteers are required to complete a minimum of 10 hours of mandatory training.


SafePaws Program - When victims of domestic violence leave abusive relationships, they are often fearful of what will become of their pet. Through our SafePaws program, Transitions will arrange safe, temporary housing for pets during the time an individual stays in our emergency shelter.
